Leanne Mauro
Maggie
From Los Angeles to Sydney, Leanne has graced screen and theatre over the last 20 years.
Her audition came late into the process but shone brightly amongst her contemporaries through not only her performance but her inquisitive nature when it came to character and story.
Her curiosity pushed our screenplay beyond the written word, and allowed us to really delve into the characters to make them three-dimensional.
Her love for the craft pushed us to elevate this humble script into a truly rich piece where conflict and character motivation were key.
Shane C. Rodrigo
Joey
From staring in one man theatre shows to rubbing shoulders with Hollywood giants in The Matrix franchise Shane has led a diverse career.
Being the first actor to audition for the film and knocking it out of the park with a keen eye for what was in between the lines.
His dedication to his craft was paramount to our creative teams' pre-production efforts. It allowed us to craft our characters' motivations in such a way that allowed our story to translate into a multi-layered conflict on screen.
His positive energy was infections during production, and his performance alongside Leanne’s serves as the heart of the film.
Michael Papaeleftheriou
Mike
Being an indie filmmaker at heart Michael has often worn whatever hat production has required of him.
With less than a minute of screen time and no dialogue the role of Mike serves as more of a force that helps steer the conflict between our leads to its boiling point.
With experience in combat sports and a love for silence the physicality and sense of presence behind the small yet crucial role of Mike was a natural fit for Michael.
With Shane and Leanne lending him their energy and mentoring him through his scene the role ended up being a well fitting culmination of Michael’s acting experience.
